vstp Design: New Word Order (N.W.O)
vstp Design began as the brainchild of two relatively unknown designers, JayKay and Denyne. The name vstp stands for “Virtual Sound Trek Project”, representing an ‘Imaginary Sound Journey’ that began with the subtle sound of spray cans echoing in a small corner of the city. This was the start of our design trek.

Our History & Transition
vstp Design was first established in Itaewon(Seoul. South Korea) area once known for its raw, gritty, and sometimes rough street culture. We started with graffiti, but as spaces for street art diminished and it increasingly became associated with crime, we decided to pivot our design canvas. We smoothly transitioned from city walls and traditional canvases to computer graphics, launching with the belief that simple design is the ultimate form of sophistication.

Current Direction & Philosophy
While JayKay and Denyne have since embarked on their separate paths, vstp Design is currently operating solo. JayKay now operates his small factory, a phase that may be temporary or may last.

We deliberately reject cliché narratives.We reject labels such as ‘art,’ ‘artist,’ or ‘artisan.’ We simply create the designs we want. We’ll save the pursuit of “high art” for when we’ve made some real money. For now, our focus remains on delivering aesthetically pleasing and effective design.

We are the technicians of our Itaewon factory—individuals who embrace the street life, enjoying drinks, cigarettes, skateboarding, BMX, and, naturally, Hip-hop.

We strive to discard complicated packaging and instead create designs that are simple and practical. Our core principle is that simplicity is supreme. JayKay’s small factory is working late again tonight.

For the new world that is surely coming, we advocate!
